It didn’t rain on our parade! The Genuine Smithfield Christmas Parade was “Hamtown Holiday Harmony”, we created wonderful memories. The new line up route was a great success.
Thank you to everyone who participated, The VFW Color guard, floats, bands, dance troupes, marching units, antique cars, and the sweet smiling walking dogs, your hard work was very apparent and you really shined. I want to thank the Public Works Staff with all of your support. Smithfield Police Department, Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department with SANTA, the IOW Rescue and John Edwards. The Dempsey Sisters for your beautiful songs. Our Judges, Ed Rhinier, Rhonda Johnston and Lynn James and emcee Jim Groves . The fantastic volunteers, Beta Club with Julie Eng, Elizabeth Moose, Jill Gwaltney, Connie and Gene lackey, Tommy Reynolds, Gary Gandee, Sonny, Drusean, Rickapedia and Tom Tokarz
And the Tourism Staff….you ROCK!!!!
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year!
