Weddings, Gatherings & Groups
The quaint river-port town of Smithfield, Virginia sets the perfect background to any wedding, party, meeting, convention, trade show or reunion. Small or large, your gathering would enjoy the Hams, History, Hospitality and HeART. And the small town would be ideal for you to relax in after the business day or festivities have ended.
What's an "Encore Bride" you ask? These are the brides in second + weddings…a little calmer perhaps than their less "experienced" sisters, a little saner, a little more "mature", often have their children involved and are looking for exactly the kind of experience Smithfield and Isle of Wight can provide to make their once in a lifetime (ok, ok, maybe twice!) day, really special!
Our Tourism Bureau can assist you with every aspect of your planning by providing brochures, step-on and walking tour guide service, a Calendar of Events and a variety of creative itineraries, all of which are presented with genuine Southern Hospitality.
The Smithfield Center is available for group gatherings. Name your theme and their state-of-the-art kitchen, or your caterer of choice, will get to work to make sure things go smoothly. Visit their website at www.smithfieldcenter.com.
We have several other itineraries available or we can personalize one for your group. Call our Visitor Center to speak with one of our docents who will be glad to assist you.
Guided Tours are available for your groups of 10 or more!
