Friday, May 2 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Sentara St Luke’s, 20209 Sentara Way, Carrollton
This is a classic car show open to all and takes place every first, third and fifth Friday of each month, April through October 17. If you’re proud to drive it - we’re proud to show it! Show cars are asked for a $2 donation to Smithfield Lions charities (to assist vision and hearing impaired of our community) at the gate. Spectators are admitted free of charge. Bubba & Franks Bar-b-cue are the food vendor with plenty of picnic area to enjoy their fantastic food. Proceeds benefit the all-volunteer fire/rescue service of Carrollton and nearby mutual aid districts in Smithfield and northern Suffolk. $5 admission. Your donations to this non-profit all-volunteer department serve the community by enabling the purchase of needed medical, rescue and fire fighting supplies and equipment. Peninsula Bicycling Association (PBA) Smithfield Challenge
Saturday, May 24 from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Windsor Castle Park, Smithfield
An enjoyable ride through scenic Isle of Wight County. Three courses, 25, 46 and 64 miles each. Rest stops stocked with food and water to refuel along the way. All courses take you through the Lake Prince area in Suffolk. These areas are stocked with wildlife of all sorts so while you are riding, definitely look for cars but don’t forget to enjoy the creatures you will see along the way. (and we are not referring to the other cyclists you will see out there in spandex!) Helmets are Required! Cost: 12 years old and under – $10 Members - $15 Nonmembers - $20 Registration after 5/15 or on site is an additional $5.

Registration starts 7:45am, 64 Mile route opens at 8:00, 46 mile route opens at 8:30 and 25 mile route opens at 9:00.
