Chocolate Lover's Event

 

Chocolate Lovers will not be held this year...so sorry!

Below is information on past events.

The perfect Valentine's Celebration! Stroll the shops of downtown Smithfield to sample chocolate delights featured in each participating stores. There is no charge for the event, but each merchant will be collecting donations for their favorite charity.

 

 

Highlights from 2010 Event

 

 

It was a beautiful February evening in downtown Smithfield.

 

     

Left: Cecelia Culpepper and Helen Minton served Chocolate Covered Cherries & Sugar-Free Chocolate Bark at the Christmas Store.

Center: Roy Williams paired wine and chocolate at the Arts Center @ 319

Right: "People's Choice" Winners, the Isle of Wight County Fair Queens served Chocolate Bon Bons at the Ice Cream Parlor.

 

    

Left: Tammy Shackleford & Sandra Wilkins made Double Chocolate Walnut Biscotti at Buchanon's.

Center: Leigh Anne Bell with her Chocolate Cherry Surprise Cake at Perspectives.

Right: Amy Ring of Ringo's Donut Shop with "Chocolate OMG"  at the Christmas Store.

Left: Judy Horne served Chocolate Mousse Roll at Smithfield Interiors.

Center: Julie Verdaguer of Old World Tea Company served Raspberry Double Chocolate Jelly Roll and won both first and second place (professional) for her Citrus Chocolate Creme Pot and Hot Spiced Chocolate.

Right: Paula Hicks served a crowd her Chocolate Hazelnut French Turnovers at Fairfield Photography.

 

 

Left: The shops were full of visitors & tasters!

Right: The desserts were beautifully displayed, like Roxanne Kozak's Oreo Cookie Cake which won second place in the amateur category.
